To watch someone you love slowly forget things and become confused is so hard. When they forget who you are, it is heartbreaking. When they deteriorate so much that they forget how to dress themselves, feed themselves and eventually can no longer communicate, it is utterly devastating. So many people are, or have, experienced this and it is so upsetting because there is nothing you can do to fix it. You want them so much to remember your name, remember who you are and the relationship you have with them. You want them to remember all the memories you have built together over the years and all the things you used to laugh about. But all you can do is watch the person you know and love so much slowly disappear, knowing that you will never get that person back. 😥 It is sadness beyond words. Please help find a cure for this cruel illness.
