We fund research, awareness and training to increase survival rates of bowel cancer

Story

Many of my friends and clients will already know that I took up the sport of triathlon a year ago. Having experienced 4 races, 2 at standard Olympic and 2 at 70.30 middle distance.

The learning experience has been amazing. I decided to do a full IRONMAN event to support a good friend of mine Paul Rees, but now I am focused on trying to use the event to raise both money and awareness for a fantastic charity too.

In October 2015 a close friend and client of mine Tim Watson, was diagnosed with bowel cancer. This man has supported me for over 15 years and is a genuine fun chap to know.

Having experienced one of my previous bosses dying from this horrible cancer,  I feared for my friend.

Thanks to the highly skilled doctors, the staff at Derriford hospital and this organisation, Tim has had an operation to save his life.

This organisation is pioneering in the teaching on how to treat this illness and training surgeons.   I think them for their work and saving my friends life.
