Sue Ryder Emergency Appeal
Campaign by Sue Ryder (RCN 1052076)
With fundraising events cancelled for the rest of this year and no clear indication of when we can open our shops or how long it will take them to return to normal trading we anticipate a funding gap of £1m per month from July.

Story

In connection with the recent commemorations for VE Day, I wrote new lyrics for our Covid-19 lockdown era, to the tune of the moving song Keep the Home Fires Burning. The aim was to give us all hope for the future. On behalf of those who due to health conditions have a somewhat curtailed future, I hope you'll have a listen and donate to support the wonderful work Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice carries out.

Sue Ryder Nurses and healthcare teams are always there for local people who are dying. They are providing incredible emotional support as well as specialist medical care to people who are finding themselves in unimaginably difficult circumstances. We are all facing something we have never faced before which is why Sue Ryder has launched an appeal to make sure that they are still here. I am asking you to give whatever you can afford at this difficult time. Every pound you give could make the difference to whether they can be there or not. It is that simple.
