As many of you know, Girlguiding is a charity close to my heart. From a shy young Brownie aged 7, it has offered me opportunities and introduced me to people which I would never had had otherwise. 

The impact which it has is seen everyday in the groups which I work with and the experiences which they have. As part of the wider WAGGGS network, they allow girls and young women to speak out about the things which matter to them - the Girls speak Out survey often make the news headlines. 

Through Girlguiding, girls are able to push their limits and discovery opportunities and experiences which may not be open to them otherwise. No matter what school they go to or where they come from, all girls are the same when they pull on a Brownie or Guide uniform. For some of them, like me and many people I know, Girlguiding will offer them a taste of something which may spark something in them, and which may go onto change the world... or at least their world. In the meantime, I am willing to change my world for it!
