I'm by no means the first of Ben's friends to run a ridiculously long way to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, but I promise you I'm the most unlikely runner of us all, so any donation, however tiny, will definitely spur me on! We all miss Ben so much; this is just another small way to remember someone really wonderful and hopefully make things a little bit better for the next young person diagnosed with cancer.

Ben was definitely one of the sportiest people I've ever known (whereas until about a year ago I could barely run half a mile) so when I rashly signed up to run a marathon it seemed like a good idea to raise some money for TCT while I'm at it. If nothing else it's certainly kicked 2015's 2-mile-run-and-slice-of-millionaires'-shortbread habit.

Please give anything you can spare to support this fantastic charity. I honestly do mean anything, even your back-of-the-sofa change would be greatly appreciated. It will certainly keep my legs moving when I hear the ominously titled Bournemouth marathon 'sweeper bus' come rumbling up behind me!
