Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and shortly afterwards suffered a stroke. Thanks to the care I received at the Rosemere Centre in Preston, I have been able to rebuild my life. It is through sport that I have become stronger and happier, and so I wanted to celebrate this fact by giving something back. I am still fighting and it's thanks to Rosemere.

My triathlon will consist of:

• 400m swim
• 20k cycle
• 6k run
