My Father In Law Anthony welcomed me with open arms into the Pearson family and I was always so touched by his generousity to all he met. 

Anthony had the most devastating diagnosis in March 2021 of an inoperable brain tumour the size of a clementine. He bravely underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy to try shrink and slow the growth of the cancer but ultimately it was futile to keep fighting. 

Throughout Anthony's illness he was remained the same true gentleman who I had met over a decade ago. He did not let his battle with cancer make him bitter. Despite the mounting frustrations he must have felt as his speech, and then his mobility, was sapped away by this dreadful disease; he was staunchly stoic and ever grateful for the life he had lived and shared with us all. 

Anthony passed away on January 23rd 2022 just 10 months after his diagnosis. He had a seizure which he never recovered from. 

We all miss Anthony so much, his wry humor, his thirst for knowledge and his kind spirit.

Cancer research is just the sort of charity Anthony would have backed 100%. He was passionately into science and believed firmly that scientific breakthroughs held the key to many of our world problems.
