Story
In the summer of 2019 we lost our wonderful, kind and irreplaceable Mama to Pancreatic Cancer. She was always the life and soul of the party and was the first in line for a good adventure. One of her bucket list items was to do the Camino De Santiago (St. James’s Way) pilgrimage walk, regrettably her Camino took a different path and she never got the chance to fulfil this challenge.
It’s been two years since she hasn’t been at our side but I know she will be with me in spirit as I set out on doing it myself. In honour of Teresa I would like to raise money for The Kirkwood Hospice. A Hospice which not only provides amazing end of life care, but also support and therapy for both my mother and her family. From complimentary therapies, activity days or just someone to sit and chat to over a cup of tea they are always there. You can take a walk around their beautiful gardens and feel the peace and tranquility. Through thick and thin, the good and the bad, they make a difference to the lives of those who need it most.
I plan to walk 150km over the course of about a week from O Cebreiro to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Any donations no matter how great or small for a charity very close to our family’s hearts would be greatly appreciated.
Wish me luck 🤞🏻👟
