Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So, I'm doing it! This 'non-runner' is gradually becoming an actual runner (I only completed Couch to 5k in April) and is going to run in the London Marathon 2024!! And what's more I'm doing it for an amazing charity!

I feel so honoured to be running for Brain Tumour Research. My  dad died from a brain tumour so this charity was already close to my heart. However, seeing the turmoil a very close friend and her family are going through after her husband was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour, has made me realise just how much help this charity needs. Despite what they are going through, the very same couple have already worked so hard to raise a lot of money for BTR but so much more is needed. I'm so glad to be part of their team.

Brain Tumours can affect anyone at any age. They kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer. However, historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to brain tumour research!

I'd be so grateful for any support that you can give. Your donations will push me on through all the training and will make the aches, pains and blisters even more worthwhile!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
