We are Rainbows Hospice, our mission is to support the children that need us most

Story

My dad and I are doing this challenge during lockdown to help raise money for Rainbows children’s hospice.

Rainbows is a charity whose aim is to bring care, happiness and support to both children with life limiting conditions and their families. They are the only children’s hospice in the Midlands. Only around 15% of their money comes from government funding so any donations make a big difference.

We chose rainbows as very sadly, last summer they cared for a boy in my year and I know they gave him and his family wonderful support. We would like to feel that we are contributing to such a worthwhile cause.

About the charity

As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, we brighten the short lives of babies, children and young people who come to Rainbows. We want them to have fun and make special memories. We are also here to support their loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives.
