Story

Seven years ago my Godfather suffered from Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Since then he has made a remarkable recovery and has taken part in many events such as, the London Triathlon, which is an amazing achievement as some are unable to walk unaided after recovering from the syndrome.

2016's challenge for my Godfather- Uncle Paul (Paul Waine), his physio, Sam (Sam Havler), Uncle Richard (Richard Eggleston), and my dad (Mark Eggleston) is to run the Hull Marathon. Due to the fact that I'm not 18 I cannot run the marathon, instead I am running in the Great North Run, (something that I have wanted to do for a long time) with my dad, just a week before the Marathon!

Therefore, we would love to raise money for this charity to continue research, enabling them to help others recover from this crippling syndrome that can change people's lives very quickly and unexpectedly.

Thankyou!!

Lucy
