Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Mia and Lucy arrived in to our world 9 weeks premature and have changed our lives forever. Mia and Lucy both showed signs of delayed development and after lots of tests and a brain scan they gave us the news that both girls have Cerebral Palsy. Lucy has Quadriplegic cerebral palsy and Mia has Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy.

Lucy is unable to sit unaided and is unable to talk. She requires regular physiotherapy to try and stop her muscles tightening which will lead to her having to have operations to stretch the muscles if we can not raise funds for extra physiotherapy. Lucy recently had a trial on a eye gaze system which will allow her to communicate with our family but unfortunately this is only available if we buy it ourselves.

Mia also requires physiotherapy as she has stiffness in her right arm and leg. Mia able to bottom shuffle around the house and loves to stand. Mia is unable to walk unaided and has recently started to learn how to support herself on a standing frame. It will be a very long process to learn to walk but she is a very determined little girl.

Mia and Lucy are four years old in July and they light up our world and love spending time with big brother Harry. We dream that they will both be able to walk one day with lots of continued support and maybe even get to play football with there big brother.
