On the 13th and 14th July this year I am heading to Derbyshire to take part in the Peak District Challenge 2019. The event is a 100 kilometre (62.5 miles) walk starting and finishing in the town of Bakewell. I am aiming to complete the 100km in under 24 hours. I am taking part in the event to raise money for the NewLife Charity for Disabled Children. The charity help disabled youngsters and their families by providing specially adapted equipment such as car seats, beds, pushchairs, etc. to enable the youngsters to lead as full and active a life as possible. ALL the money I raise will go to help children and their families right here in the North West.  In 2016 I raised  in excess of £2000 by taking part in the Saharan Challenge in Morocco and the money helped provide a specialist bed for a 7 year old boy in Great Harwood and also helped two other disabled children elsewhere in Lancashire. 

Any money that you are kind enough to pledge will be very gratefully received and I know will be put to extremely good use by the charity.
