We've been providing tailored and holistic care to those in need in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area for over 40 years. At your home or ours, we provide care without prejudice, regardless of condition, religion, beliefs or age - and always with your best interests at heart.

Story

In August 2019 my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Chemo treatment followed by surgery and radiotherapy. Last February we were given the all clear, I know that's not what they are allowed to say, but for us that's how it felt.

After numerous hospital visits, swelling, and my wife in a great amount of pain that was put down to lymphedema in August we were given the devastating news that the cancer had returned and it was not operable.  It was now under her armpit, In her Breast, breast wall and lungs.

Nothing could prepare any one for that news.

Since leaving hospital St Peter's has provided much needed support from tackling the pain my wife is in to emotional support and information.

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
