Peter's Story

After suffering a major stroke in 2013, every aspect of my life has been turned upside down. I have long term mobility, communication, sight and cognitive problems. The road to recovery is a long and bumpy one (and is still ongoing) with a number of unforeseen health issues along the way. Throughout it all, I have always been determined to get back on my feet.

The Stroke Association have been there from my early days in hospital and have supported me and my family in a number of ways, not least of which is being able to meet up with other families in similar situations to ours.

My aim is to walk 100 metres on the day - wish me luck!
