Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Starting on 7 August, with 2 companions, Richard and Tony, I will be attempting to walk the length of Worcestershire in 3 days from Tenbury Wells to Ledbury, via Abberley and Malvern. That's 45 miles and 7000 foot of climb, including 2 crossings of the Malverns, which is equivalent to scaling both Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis from sea level. We have chosen this route because it links the most northerly and southerly offices of Citizens Advice South Worcestershire (CASW). On the way, we shall call in at our main office at Malvern.
CASW is a charity that provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice, information and advocacy to thousands of local people each year. We are seeing significant increases in the demand for our services at the same time as our sources of income are increasingly difficult to sustain. All the money we raise will be donated to CASW to use wherever the need is greatest.
Why "80 not out"? Because this year Citizens Advice celebrates 80 years of service to our nation. CASW has set itself the challenge of having 80 events to recognise those 80 years. Our walk is one of those special events. We want to make a significant contribution to ensure that CASW can continue to help anybody in our community for years to come.
We do hope that you would like to encourage us on our trek by using this page to donate to CASW. We shall be giving our time, sweat and boot rubber so please be generous and give what you can. I can assure you your money will be put to excellent use.
