Story
To support the Royal Voluntary Service National fundraising week, five committed members of the operational and trading team are embarking on a 35 mile trolley run on Tuesday the 29th of November. The aim is to raise as much money as possible, increase awareness of volunteering opportunities and, in turn, help enrich the lives of older people within our communities.
Our challenge begins at Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil, we will then embark on a 25 mile bike ride along the Taff Trail to our second RVS venue, Velindre Hospital in Whitchurch.
Our bikes will be parked up and our journey will then begin on foot across Cardiff to the University Hospital Wales. At Velindre we will pick up one of our famous trolleys, which will be stocked up with tempting cakes, fruit and piping hot tea, all of which will be given to local residents, passers-by and hospital patients on the way; with a view of receiving a small donation for our challenge.
From the UHW our journey will take us across Cardiff towards our third and final destination - our Cardiff Gate office. Once there, we will be setting up an afternoon tea station which will again consist of tempting cakes and piping hot tea, all available for a small donation.
On behalf of the team and Royal Voluntary Service I would like to thank you for your time in reading our challenge and would very much appreciate if you could help us raise money for this great cause.
Best wishes
Damian, Mark, Keiron, Gareth & Pam
