Story
We have decided to take part in the St Barnabas Moonlight Walk (a 10k night walk in Stamford) to raise money for a fantastic charity that cared for my Mum during her last few weeks.
When we do this walk it will be roughly a year since the Bourne Hospice at Home team started coming to care for Mum at home - the team were so lovely, kind, caring and considerate and would do anything Mum wanted. They were also very supportive towards Dad and I durng this time. We couldn't have asked for a better team of professionals and that's why we want to give something back to them.
St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity and every year we support more than 9,000 people across Lincolnshire with a life limiting or terminal condition. We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. We aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left.We are reliant on the financial support our community provides so that we can be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
