We fund medical research to find a cure for the rare disease A-T

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've decided to walk 310km across Switzerland, taking just over 2 weeks, to raise urgently needed funds for a small, UK-based charity called Action for A-T (www.actionforat.org).

A-T (Ataxia Telangiectasia) is a rare, genetic degenerative disease of childhood, which affects multiple systems of the human body. There is currently no cure for A-T and no treatment to slow down or stop the progression of this disease.

Action for A-T was set up in 2011 by an old school friend, whose daughter is affected by the condition, with the aim of funding medical reasearch to speed up the process of identifying a cure for A-T or treatments that delay or prevent the disabling effects of this devastating childhood condition.

Having witnessed some incredible fund-raising initiatives that people have undertaken for this cause, I have been inspired to get involved. So here goes! Your support and sponsorship will be so greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
