We are using JustGiving for the second time, after a very successful and popular virtual walk last November when initially we were planning to walk to Paris but due to such a popular response, we made it in 3 days and so extended our walk to Rome.  

This Spring, from Saturday 1st to Sunday 9th May,  our virtual walk will take us from Horsham (St John's to be precise) to Lourdes, a distance 1028 miles. 

Our scenic virtual route takes us through the Sussex countryside to Chichester on the Sussex Literary Trail, then follows the Solent Way to Portsmouth. The ferry takes us to Ouistreham (Caen) and then we make the long trek south to the Pyrenees on the Grande Randonnee (walking rails)  GR36, GR65, GR653, and finally GR101 into Lourdes. 

 Over the last 12 months, we have supported our community in many ways, and with your help, we want to continue working with families in need and the vulnerable in our community as everyone adjusts to what will hopefully be the aftermath of the pandemic. 

We in Horsham really enjoy and appreciated the beautiful area we live in.  We will be walking each day during the first week in May and hope to be joined again by friends and families from all over the world. We will add up our miles each evening and report on our virtual progress towards Lourdes.  

A walking challenge as a great way to get out and about and sharing our progress helps us keep connected with family and friends.
