Story
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about lifes problems.
Having worked in pubs and bars for my whole life I have seen sadly too many sad people fighting battles. Not to get all deep.. but I fortunately managed to speak to the right people to turn my mental state from "It would be a lot easier for everyone if I just went.." to something more positive.
Now I am not perfect, I have made many mistakes that led to that low, but sometimes when you hit the bottom you have to take your medicine, talk and move forward. I still speak to someone once a month.. I pay to look after my physical health, why can't I pay to look after my mental health? Not everyone is as lucky as I am, roof over my head, loving family, no illness' such as addiction.. CALM offer free support to those who are struggling, even if you have had an off week or month... Don't have any shame in admitting it.. Not saying you need to put your life on Socials and tell your barber (No slight on any of my barbers!) everything that has happened! But talking to someone who has experience and can help.
Now I know cost of living crisis is biting everyone, but if you could afford to even donate a cost of a pint or a posh coffee that would be great! I am not looking to win the half.. but I will have a bloody good go thinking of those who have sadly left us to soon.
Cheers
