Story
On Monday 10th April 2017 I will begin a 153 mile run from Bridlington, on the East coast of England, all the way over to Lytham on the West coast. I'll be doing this over a 5 day period, which works out roughly at a marathon per day (26 miles).
Why am I doing this? In October of last year, my 2 nephews Liam and Oliver lost their Dad, Martin Simm, after a 3 year long courageous battle with cancer. Not only was Martin (Simmy) their Dad, but he was also a close family friend who meant a lot to the whole family. Simmy was also a keen runner like myself and a few years ago we entered a couple of races together, the Burnley 10K and the Blackpool 10k. He beat me on both occasions!
During the 3 year battle, Martin regularly visited the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The Foundation supports world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria as well as funding cutting edge equipment to hospitals and supporting innovative ways to take the fear out of cancer for patients and their families. They also do a lot more, of which you can find more information about here:

As well as this being a personal, fun challenge, I'm aiming to raise as much money as possible to help other people that are dealing with cancer, so your support would be forever appreciated by not only me and my family, but my many others too.
Thank you.
Scott
