The reason that I am raising money for bloodwise is because I have been effected and survived leukaemia. I was originally diagnosed with glandular fever in 2011 which turned into acute myeloid leukaemia, and from there I began my treatment. It was a hard road to recovery but I went into remission after 4 rounds of chemotherapy which was amazing. I went back to work and carried on with life until one blood test revealed it had come back. I was devastated but I fought on and the next and only option for me was to have a bone marrow transplant. As I have no siblings, a search began for an unrelated donor which wasn't easy to. Find. Then miraculously, a donor was found in Australia and I began treatment and recovery again. It's vital that bloodwise continue to receive money in order to fund groundbreaking research of blood cancer and get closer and closer to finding a cure .
