Story

Amie Knott spent every year since God was a lad raising money for multiple charities in the name of her brother, Andrew Lake.

In 2016 Andrew spent a lot of time in the Palliative Care Unit at Northern General in Sheffield. During his time there the staff were incredible, nothing was too much to ask. They ran out to get us cappuccinos, organised a naming ceremony for Andrew's godson, Jenson and even decked out the full reception area as a chapel for Andrew to witness the marriage blessing of Dave and Amie. Given how well my Andrew was treated by the staff here it came as no surprise to Amie that he requested that my 2017 charity should be the Palliative Care Unit, and he received no grumbles from her.

Sadly, in November of 2016 Andrew left us to tear up that big motocross track in the sky, and so it's more important than ever that I make his dream happen.

Since the start of the year Amie has launched a charity in Andrew's name - Trust 22. This fundraising page is now to be used to collect online donations from any fundraisers.

Last year we raised over £1,600 for charity. This year, in honour Andrew Lake, let's smash that!

About the charity

We help Sheffield’s hospitals, community teams and health and social care services to cover costs their NHS budgets can’t. We fund support for patients and staff, life-changing research and more, so that we can enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.
