Which charity?
According to recent statistics, over a thousand people every day are diagnosed with cancer in the UK alone - of those around 500 will die, equating to one life every 4 minutes. Although we have made huge progress in this field, those numbers are still enough to make anybody’s stomach churn. It is for this reason that we will be spending our summer’s fundraising for Cancer Research UK, a world-class research charity leading the fight against cancer.

It is for this reason that we will be spending our summer’s fundraising for Cancer Research UK, a world-class research charity leading the fight against cancer.
Why Kilimanjaro?
As you probably already know, there are hundreds of other easier ways to fundraise for cancer, so it would be fair to question why on Earth we’ve chosen to scale the world’s 4th tallest mountain. Aside from the very appetising prospect of mountain sickness, we feel that this would be a good way to challenge ourselves; neither of us have done anything like this before. Moreover, we want to earn our sponsors and nothing says hard-work like 10 crippling hours of uphill trekking every day for a week! But although our climb will be exhausting, it doesn’t compare to how tiring the battle against cancer is for those involved and their families.
