Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May 2014, I was successfully treated for prostate cancer after only being diagnosed via a routine PSA blood test. I was one of the lucky ones.   Following my successful treatment, I have willingly given some of the time I have been given to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK who are dedicated to supporting victims of this disease and their families and further funding research to try and eradicate premature deaths from this disease within 10 years.  So for the second time in three years, next June I shall be riding the 124 mile first stage of the Tour de France in the Vendée region of western France.  I am seeking to raise £2,000 at least between now and June 2018.  So this is where I ask you, my friends, family. colleagues and acquaintances, once again to consider supporting me to raise funds for this worthy cause.  Sadly 1in 8 men will be afflicted by this disease in their lifetime and for some ethnic groups and those with a family history the odds can shorten to 1 in 4.  So the chances are you will know someone who is, will be or has been affected by the disease.  Please help me to help PC UK achieve its aims.  Thank you..
