Story
The Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser has promoted St Andrew's Hospice within its pages for more than 30 years. Now the paper wants to take its support for this fantastic facility to the next level - by actively fundraising for the Hospice's Capital Appeal.
We want to raise the required amount to fund the construction of a single, en suite room within the refurbished Hospice. The campaign is called the Advertiser Readers' Room Appeal for good reason, because we can only achieve our goal with your help. Its success will be determined by your input, involvement and generosity.
Advertiser readers have already shown incredible kindness by supporting the paper's annual Christmas Toy Appeal. Now we hope you will provide similar backing to this special campaign. Please give whatever you can. Each and every donation counts and will be gratefully appreciated.
St. Andrew’s Hospice endeavours to provide a high standard of specialist palliative care to the people of Lanarkshire, encompassing human dignity and compassion. As Lanarkshire's only specialist palliative care hospice, it offers multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers.
Whilst the hospice receives funding from NHS Lanarkshire and other sources, this only partially covers its running costs. Continued provision of these services is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire.
