Help raise funds in Alexis memory

On the 8th December 2015 we were blessed with the birth of our surprise baby girl Alexis, born at 5.53am weighing 6lb6oz she was a wonderful surprise for everyone. Not knowing I was pregnant it all came as a bit of a shock. Myself and Alexis were taken to hospital and allowed to go home 2 days later. after a few issues with Alexis not gaining weight we took her to the doctors and they put her on colief drops, this helped her gain some weight and at 14 days old she was still small weighing a tiny 6lb 10oz. then everything went wrong from there. We were blessed with her in our lives for 16 days as she sadly passed away on 24th December 2015. After losing her our lives were turned upside down. She was my second child and I have honestly never felt a pain like it, I had no idea how to plan a funeral or anything, but eventually we got there, after asking my doctors for help with my mental state we were put in touch with SANDS, after I was told I needed to wait 3 months for some professional help, the ladies at SANDS are amazing people and they have made a very difficult journey slightly easier by helping and understanding what we are going though. all the people who volunteer with SANDS have all faced this pain themselves and know how each mum, dad and family are feeling. we are trying to help the raise enough money for a cold cot/ cuddle cot for the local hospital as currently they don't have one. this cold cot will allow families to spend a few extra days with their child after they have experienced a horrible loss. these cold cots/cuddle cots cost around £3000 each but can create so many precious memories for a family. if you can see it in your heart to even donate £1 it can make all the difference thank you xx
