Story

NEED YOUR HELP....

Did you know that brain tumours kill more children & adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer?

More children than Leukaemia.

More men under 45 than prostate cancer & yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

I’m Alicia & this topic is something very close to my heart, i lost my brother Rik, to this deadly disease 20 months ago.
Rik was diagnosed with primary lung cancer & secondary brain tumour at the young age of 49 & given 3 months to live! I can’t put into words the devastation it caused our family & yet i also can’t put into words Rik’s positivity & determination to try & beat this disease. He never ever spoke about the ‘What ifs’ it was always the ‘I wills...’. Together with changing his whole lifestyle & his sheer positivity he nearly tripled his outcome, but sadly, on the 28th June 2016 (my sister’s birthday) he lost his battle to cancer, having just turned 50, four weeks earlier.

Www.braintumourresearch.org are campaigning to see the national spend on research into brain tumours increase to £30/£35 million a year in line with breast cancer & Leukaemia.

We are wanting to support them by raising money on WEAR A HAT DAY March 29th 2018...

Me and my closest friend Michelle have organised an event on WEAR A HAT DAY at THE FULL MOON MORTON - 6pm onwards- there will be music, stalls & more...

However, if youre not able to attend you can still help by donating here... anything will help, no matter how small 💗
