Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
The reason for organising this Memorial Charity Football Match between Kilgetty & Tenby on Bank Hol Monday 28th May 2018 2.00pm at Kilgetty Sports Ground is that my late son Philip (Phil) Yates passed away on 14th August 2015 due to depression and had only been ill for a very short time. Mental Health Illness takes away our loved ones so many too young both male and female. Families left heartbroken as their teenagers and young adults feel they cannot cope any longer or tell their family and friends how they are feeling. MIND is a wonderful charity doing a fantastic job both helping to bring awareness to the population of this country and also showing everyone who is suffering that they can talk and get the individual help that is so desperately needed. Every charity needs financial help to get the resources so urgently required and MIND is one that really can make a difference in helping so many people both young and old that suffer this awful illness.
I and my family want to help as many people as possible and along with all his friends and team mates we are hoping to raise as much money as we can for this charity. If you cannot come along on the day to watch the football game and donate then PLEASE can you give a little to this worthwhile cause on this page.
We couldn't save my son but perhaps we can save others.
Thank you for reading my story.
Alison
