The Caterham Lockdown Fest 2.0

Caterham Lockdown Fest 2.0 · 30 January 2021
The Caterham Lockdown Fest 2.0 is fundraising for The Westway Community Cafe and Wellbeing Centre’s Pandemic Community Lockdown Fund.
In November 2020, the Caterham and District Independent launched its first Lockdown Fest, aimed at bringing the local community together after a difficult year, through a day of online events. It featured businesses and residents showcasing a vast array of talent: singing, dramatic performances, fitness activities, cooking, gardening, gin cocktails and much more!
It was such a great event that, on Saturday 30January 2021, we are proud to present Lockdown Fest 2.0: another opportunity to
discover how much Tandridge has to offer. In addition to a second outing for several of the contributors to the original Fest, we will also be welcoming a host of new faces who will be promoting our themes of health, well-being and entertainment.
There’s one other, important difference this time around: we’re fundraising for The Westway Community Cafe and Wellbeing Centre.
The Westway is a community hub that provides services, leisure activities and a cafe to Caterham and surrounding Tandridge areas. It also gives local groups and organisations a place to meet.
In response to the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, the Westway began its Pandemic Community Support Fund. A team of volunteers has been on hand to help local residents with practical help and advice, including shopping collections, hot meals, supported travel, food and toiletry packs and help with applications for grants and benefits.
Please donate to this amazing cause if you are able, and join our Caterham Lockdown Fest group on Facebook to get involved with all the fun on Saturday. And if you’re our 500th subscriber you’ll win a fabulous cake from Pleesecakes!
