Our sledding challenge is to drive our sleds 260km through the frozen wilderness of the Arctic!!

The Highland Hospice is an independent local charity reliant on our community for the majority of its funding.  The Highland Hospice needs to raise over £7000 a day to support the delivery of their services across the Highlands.

We, like many of you, have seen friends lose loved ones from Cancer and have seen the pain and suffering endured.  Cancer touches us all in different ways.  The Highland Hospice offers terminally ill patients and their families the best possible care and support, helping improve their quality of life.

These last months during the Covid-19 pandemic have brought home to us how short life is and how quickly time passes. This has had a sobering effect on us and has made us begin to do things that push us out of our comfort zone.  Taking part in this tough but amazing "hands-on" wilderness challenge, in aid of the Highland Hospice, will certainly do that.

We will navigate over 260km of Lapland through Norway to Sweden.  We will care for our team of Huskies, cook our own food, set up camp in temperatures of -20 c, with no showering facilities and the toilet being behind any nearby tree!

We are excited and looking forward to this adventure and hope, with your support, to raise as much as possible for the Highland Hospice.  The next 18  months will be busy, training and fundraising but they will be fun too.  Please sponsor us and donate what you can.
