Anne Duke aged 63 years young sadly passed away in her care home on Saturday 13th November 2021.  She had suffered from an infection that could not be treated and had been sent home from hospital for End of Life Care.
For almost two years she had been under Lockdown Regulations and spent way too much of her time denied the Companionship and Love of Family and Friends.
She had contracted Covid and yet survived.
She was a Fighter and amazed everyone with her Fighting Spirit.
Inspired by Anne,  her Family and Friends joined forces with thousands of others To Fight and Fight again for Anne to be treated with the Dignity she deserved.
AND YET....amidst all the Drama of Covid....
ALZHEIMER'S continued to cast its wicked spell.  Amidst all the Fuss it was almost forgotten that the very reason she was in a care home was ALZHEIMER'S.
ALZHEIMER'S was not scared of Covid.
Lockdown regulations were not concerned with ALZHEIMER'S.
When she returned to the care home having survived Covid there was much rejoicing.  She was declared well!
And yet ALZHEIMER'S continued burrowing away sapping her life force day by day.
She was three times Covid vaccinated AND a Covid Survivor.
But there was NO ALZHEIMER'S VACCINE and she was NEVER going to be an ALZHEIMER'S Survivor.
We need to WAGE the same Ferocious War against ALZHEIMER'S as we have waged against Covid.
Let's give Medical Science the Funds it needs to Defeat and Put An End to the vicious thug that is ALZHEIMER'S.
