Story
Aron’s 100 Miles in March.
Like many of us, Aron has lost somebody close to him because of cancer. Both of Aron’s Grandads sadly passed away due to this horrible disease and he misses them very much. Grandad Ian lost his battle with cancer in November 2017 and Grandad Keith lost his battle more recently in July 2020, with both of them spending time at St. David’s Hospice when they were very poorly.
Like most charities, St. David’s Hospice has been hit hard by COVID and after reading the letter they sent our family after we made a donation, Aron couldn’t believe that the pandemic will have cost them £1 million due to having to cancel numerous large scale events and close twenty-six charity shops. Although Aron knows he won’t raise the million pounds they have lost out on, he wants to do something to help and raise as much money as he can for them.
Aron has decided to set himself the challenge of completing 100 miles during the month of March. He has to walk, run or cycle (no car journey’s allowed!) the 100 miles and has also said that he will complete at least 2 miles every day of the month.
Any donations would be massively appreciated, no matter how large or small. St. David’s Hospice do unbelievably good work, when people need it the most. Please spare what you can to help Aron raise as much money as he can for them, in memory of his Grandads.
