Since Lockdown this local under-12's football team has been keeping fit by doing various cycling and running challenges set by their coaches.
It has become apparent that charities are experiencing a significant drop in their funding during these unprecedented times and the boys now want to do their bit whilst keeping fit!
The Challenge - to do a virtual running tour of all the English Premiership stadiums - some 950 miles!!
Starting at Ayr United, their home team, the boys will run to the home of Scottish Football, Hampden, before heading south to Newcastle and on to the other 19 EPL grounds. The boys will run individually in their local area over the next 4 weeks, cumulatively chalking-off the miles as they pound the parks and pavements.
The charity, Ayrshire Cancer Support, is a local provider of free ancillary services to the NHS for those affected by cancer; in particular through counselling and hospital transportation. During this COVID-19 crisis, the charity is also providing their counselling expertise to provide trauma relief for bereaved families, carers and NHS frontline workers impacted by the virus.
