I normally have one big event on my calendar every year and this is the BIGGEST one yet lined up for my 40th year! 

I've run 10k's, half marathons, full marathons, ultra marathons, and I've taken part in Triathlons and Tough Mudders but after two warm up triathlons this year this will be my 1st IronMan. 

I signed up to do the Ironman event and then thought I'd better do a warm up event, which after I signed up turned out to be longer than the IronMan, so then I needed to do another warm-up event for the warm-up! Crazy! Anyway, I'm doing Hasting Tri in June, Castle to Coast (Windsor to Brighton) Tri in July and then the big one, the Weymouth 70.3 Ironman in September!

I want to use this event as more than just a personal challenge, I want to use it as a means to help deliver much needed money to help a fantastic charity. Please dig deep and help me reach the target. 

Around £33 could pay for one hour of care for a patient at an In-Patient Unit, where  troublesome symptoms that can be difficult to treat at home can be targeted.

Almost £50 could pay for four hours of complementary therapy to ease stress, anxiety and pain.

Just over £75 could pay for a visit from a community based Princess Alice Nurse at a patient’s home. Nurses’ specialist advice and support help patients and their families and friends to cope with the physical,
emotional, social or practical difficulties that people face when they have a life limiting illness
