Isle of Wight Challenge 2017 · 29 April 2017 to 30 April 2017 ·

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

At the end of April I'll walk 106 km (65.8 miles) around the costal path of the Isle of Wight. It's expected to take between 24 - 35 hours and includes 1780m of ascent. I'll be pausing to eat but not to sleep and I'll walk through the night. I'm not even sure there will be tea.

I'm doing this to raise money for C.A.L.M., a charity working to prevent male suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the U.K. This isn't just a statistic, it's the lives of people I knew and the many more people who are living every day with the repercussions.

C.A.L.M. Is a small charity making a big impact. They take 5000 calls a month and prevent over 250 suicides a year. So anything you give will make a difference.

Lastly, thank you so much for your support. It means an incredible amount to me and even more to those who will benefit.
