Hi I'm Mullins! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having lived through ofttimes crippling mental health issues for much of my adult life, I cannot stress enough the importance of a service like Mind - whether in simply raising awareness, or providing help directly to people in need. 

In my battle with depression & anxiety, I've felt lost to the point of attempting to take my own life on more than one occasion. Without the support of my wonderful circle of friends and family, I am certain that this is a battle I'd have long since lost. We all need somebody to turn to when things seem hopeless; who won't give up on us even at times when we are our own worst enemy. Mind can make this a reality for countless people who maybe aren't so lucky as I have been, and it is for this reason that I feel compelled to fundraise on their behalf.

As such, I have decided to put my passion for gaming to good use, by broadcasting a 24 hour marathon livestream on my Mixer channel (mixer.com/boycalledmullins) in support of the cause.

The broadcast will begin at 12am GMT on April 3rd 2020, to coincide with the release of Resident Evil 3 (a video game series of which I am a huge fan and have often found comfort in during hard times). I will spend the full 24 hours struggling non-stop through the game's hardest difficulty setting, while also talking to viewers about mental health. All donations made to this page will receive a shoutout in real time on the stream, as we all work together to raise money for a supremely deserving cause.

I'm told I can sometimes be rather entertaining, too, so watching the broadcast and getting involved in the chat should be a lot of fun! Please stop by at some point during the marathon if you have a few minutes to spare.
