Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This October I will be running the London Marathon. I will be raising money for Parkinson's UK.

As of 2022, there is no definite cure for Parkinson’s disease. Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, Parkinson's UK is improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

This charity is one that is close to me. My Girlfriend's Mother, Julie, was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD) at the early age of 44. I've been able to see first-hand the impact Parkinsons can have on someone and those around them. Julie has a blog where you can find out more about her journey https://www.parkinality.co.uk/ I suggest a read if you have a chance!
