We provide lifesaving loos & clean water to help people escape generational poverty

Story

This year, Cambridge University International Development Society is fundraising for Toilet Twinning!

We will be kicking off our fundraising with The Big Squat - a continuous, 9am -1pm squatting relay on Sidgwick Site! Come and say hi (or join us!) on 21st November.

Toilet Twinning is helping to transform lives in some of the poorest places on the planet. Vulnerable households will: learn about the importance of sanitation and hygiene; build their own loo; gain access to clean water; enjoy better health - and take a massive step out of generational poverty.

Each donation goes directly towards improving health and sanitation in communities across the globe, and will make a real difference!

One in four people on earth don’t have somewhere safe, clean and hygienic to go to the loo. We think that's bang out of order. By twinning your toilet, you help those in desperate poverty have access to a proper latrine, clean water and hygiene education - a vital combination that saves lives.
