Founded under the Patronage of Nelson Mandela, Laureus Sport for Good uses sport as a powerful and cost-effective tool to help children and young people overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives through a global network of partners in the Sport for Development community.

Story

I've committed to raise funds so that kids around the world can get to experience the joy of sport, as my own kids and their friends and family have been fortunate enough to do.

Absolutely all funds raised on Challenge New Zealand 2022 will go towards programmes in the Laureus Sport for Good network that works towards improving young people's mental health and well-being through sport.

They support more than 160 sports-based community programmes in over 40 countries, believing that “sport has the power to change the world”, as a powerful and cost-effective tool to help children reduce stigma and build resilience in the face of difficulties in their lives.

So we're doing 100km of trekking in just four days, across the South Island of New Zealand. And I'm aiming to raise £10,000 to go to the charity. Can you help?

Any donation however small can help make a difference.
