Hi!

Throughout the full month of July I will be walking 10,000 steps every single day. 

I am doing this in memory of my best friend Georgia Finlayson, to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, who supported Georgia and her family throughout her battle with cancer. 

Me and Georgia have been best friends since I can remember, we grew up on the same street, we were in the same classes at school, we did everything together! We were sisters, not by blood, but by bond! 

In 2010, Georgia was diagnosed with brain cancer, which unfortunately was terminal. Our friendship grew stronger and stronger throughout this time, and we were still just 2 naughty kids who would do anything and everything that got us into trouble 🤣 we caused all sorts of mischief in Bluebell Wood (it was mainly Georgia!! 🤣) but most of all, despite the circumstances, we still had the best times, and this was all thanks to Bluebell Wood. 

Bluebell Wood deserves all the recognition it can get, it is a beautiful place, spending time there with Georgia used to make me forget she wasn’t well, and it’s all thanks to Bluebell and the support they gave.

In December 2011, Georgia lost her battle with cancer, at just 13 years old. The wonderful staff at Bluebell Wood supported G and her family right until the very end, and then some. There would be no way to thank Bluebell Wood in the way they deserve on my own, but hopefully if I can reach my target and raise some money for them to continue doing what they’re doing, that will be a start!
