Story

Whilst I was a serving soldier, I participated in several
adventurous challenges including a 7 day climb of Mont Blanc on ice glaciers,
also a parachute training course and several parachute jumps, now I've reached
the grand old age of 60 and before I seize up completely, I've decided to take
on one of the worlds biggest challenges climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in
2018, I have been training for the last 10 months and lost over 3 stones in
weight and with kind permission from my family I am completely self funding
this adventure, but hoping to raise funds for a well deserving local charity.

I have chosen St Barnabas for several reasons, the main
reason is , it's a local charity in my home town even though I have no personal
connection with St Barnabas I know that the organisation does a fantastic job
in the community here in Louth also in Lincoln, and deserves all the help that
can be offered to them, and even if I raise £10 or £10,000 and to quote a
phrase from a well known supermarket EVERY LITTLE HELPS, and I intend to help as
much as I can.

About the charity
