St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12.9m, of this 70% comes from the local community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Peter, Faith, Colin, Josh and Nikki along with Winston the dog will be climbing Suilven in summer 2019 in memory of Alison, much loved mother, wife, daughter and friend.  We will also be celebrating Peter's 65th birthday in a location that holds special memories for all.

Peter, Alison, Josh and Faith would regularly holiday in the village of Lochinver with Peter having sumitted Suilven numerous times in the past.   We have chosen to complete this climb together to remember Alison, but also to mark a new chapter in our family future.

Suilven is a corbet located in the remote Sutherland region, in the North West Highlands of Scotland and is one of the most distinctive mountains in the area.  Suilven rises almost vertically from a wilderness landscape and stands at 2398ft high with a ridge of only 3ft wide in parts to be negotiated once at the summit.

Whilst completing this as a family achievement we would also like to take the time to raise additional funds for the Hospice to say thank you for the care and support they provided to Alison.
