Story
This is beautiful Amy Kearney - Armbrust. Precious daughter, beloved sister, beautiful auntie and sister in law. Amy was a very brave, beautiful warrior who fought chronic illness her whole life. Amy was born with Microcephaly, which is an abnormally small head and brain, which caused severe developmental delay. It was suspected that Amy had also suffered a foetal stroke. Amy had severe cerebral palsy, epilepsy and needed to be tube fed. Amy was also confined to a wheelchair. Later in life, Amy suffered chronic respiratory problems and had to use a non invasive ventilator at home.
Amy sadly passed away at the age of just 20, and her family will always be heartbroken without her.
Despite all of her health issues, Amy was always smiling and had a very cheeky laugh. She was quite mischievous and had a beautiful, sparkling personality. She was loved by all who knew her ! Amy loved all things Disney and was always cuddling Disney Princess dolls and teddies. She loved music and stories, making cakes and painting. She loved trips to the cinema and theatre and loved to visit the butterfly farm and the beach. Amy always lived life to the full and even helped a local campaign to try and save the children’s ward at her local hospital in Redditch. She was a true fighter and an inspiration to all !
It would have been Amy’s 21st birthday on 5th June 2018. We want to mark this special day by raising money for a special charity called Make a Wish. They grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. This wonderful charity made it possible for Amy to go to Disneyland Paris with her mom Colette and sister Louise. This cherished holiday would not have happened without Make a Wish, who not only covered the cost of the trip, but also ensured Amy’s oxygen and medical needs were also catered for. We will be forever grateful to them.
Please help us raise money for this wonderful charity in memory of our beautiful Amy and to mark her 21st birthday. Amy’s family are truly grateful for your help and support. Thank you xx
