Due to the Coronavirus, St Barnabas House has taken the decision to postpone our trek to China, for the second time,  to 23rd April 2022. This is disappointing but on a positive note, it will give us more time to raise vital funds for St Barnabas House & it also means that we can feel more confident about visiting China in a safe & secure way.

 With certain fundraising activities and events being cancelled due to the pandemic, and therefore a decline in income, St Barnabas need funds now more than ever.

Firstly we want to assure you that we are self funding the travel costs associated with this challenge.  So any money donated by you, will go directly to St Barnabas for the work they do.

As many of you will know, both our parents received amazing care at St Barnabas and both eventually passed away there. We and our families then benefitted from the support they give. We are taking part in this challenge to raise funds so that other families can receive the same at a really difficult time in their lives.

In October 2020 we will be travelling to China for 10 days, 7 of which we will be trekking along different parts of the Great Wall of China.  The longest day we will be trekking 13km and the terrain will include lots of uneven steps as we acend and descend the watch towers.  This will be a physical challenge and training is already underway!
