Story
I met Sally at my local running club nearly 4 years ago. Sally and her Husband Gary also live in the same village with their Daughters Holly and Georgia. A year ago the family received news that their beautiful 19 year old Daughter Holly was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Holly received treatment for many months but sadly the treatment was not working. The family have transformed their home to make Holly as comfortable as possible and Sally and her close friend Lisa have just completed London Marathon to raise money and awareness of this cruel disease. They have been an absolute inspiration to us all remaining strong for each other and for Holly and Holly has been so very brave from the very start.
Brain tumour research receives less than 1% of national cancer research spending in the UK so i am doing my bit to try and help.
I plan to cycle 103 miles from Plymouth to North Devon and if the target of £500 is reached will cycle 70 miles back to Tavistock.
Friends are more than welcome to join me for the cycle at any stage of my journey to help to raise money for this wonderful cause and raise awareness.
Thank you for taking the time to read and remember even the smallest donation will help towards this under-funded charity.
Sadly since the page was set up Holly lost her battle to this cruel disease on 16th May and passed away peacefully at home with her family.
Fundraising will continue
