Story

I'm fairly new to this running malarkey so thought I'd give myself a real challenge and sign up to the Brighton Half Marathon. I'm running on behalf of The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, a truly wonderful charity. It breaks my heart to think of what these families are going through - so running 13 miles really is the least I can do!

Every mile I run I will be thinking of these families who face challenges every day - with your help we can aid The Sussex Snowdrop Trust a little.

The Sussex Snowdrop Trust is currently supporting 73 families whose child has a life threatening or terminal illness such as cancer, cystic fibrosis or brain tumour.

The Snowdrop care at home team make a huge difference to families to understand the impact of the diagnosis and how they can care for their sick child on a day to day basis. Often one parent will give up work so this can put extra financial pressure on the family. The trust will help with costs from when their child is having treatment in hospital to help with food or petrol. The family’s life is turned upside down and the anxiety impacts in various ways so a counsellor is available to talk through worries.

The charity must raise over £350,000 a year to give this vital help when parents need it most. Please please help this amazing cause.
