In memory of Dean Clarke

I am running to raise awareness of early-onset dementia. Dean Clarke, my father-in-law's battle against Picks (Frontal Lobe Dementia) ended in 2014. After a 24 year long struggle he died aged 63; what should have been his best years ahead of him were gone and most memories of him were of a man, who had deteriorated slowly and painfully over far too long. Early on-set dementia is a disease which destroys sufferers' lives and leaves a huge emotional footprint on loved ones; loved ones who have to watch someone, once the centre of their world, become the centre of their care.
Alzheimer’s Research UK firmly believes in the power of research to create a world free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia. Check out their work: http://www.alzheimersresearchuk.org
