Story

Hi if you don’t know me I’m David Parish. A keen rugby player for Launceston Rugby Club .

In the lockdown with no rugby the only option was running or cycling so I took up running and challenged myself to see how far I could run. Being 6 ft 2 and 17 st it’s no mean feat.

My longest run to date is 22 miles 4 .2 short of a marathon .

The Exeter Marathon will be a Challenge but one I’m looking forward to .

The reason that I am running this marathon is because me and my lovely wife, Jo, lost our precious twin boys, Jack and Archie, 4 years ago at just under 16 weeks into our pregnancy. The support from this charity - that we’d never even heard of at the time - was amazing, along with the staff at Treliske hospital, Truro.

I’m running this marathon in memory of our boys.

I know it’s tough times for everyone but give as little or as much as you can

Much love Dave x
